The imperative to roll out high-speed data to homes and infrastructure across the UK has never been greater. The UK Government through OFCOM is expected to separate BT Openreach completely from British Telecom to open up to the competition and speed up the process.

Networks Centre is seeing an upturn in business and stock a range of external fibre optic cables and outside plant, solutions to deploy typically in the ‘last mile’ between the local exchange and the entrance facility or on campus. This includes blown fibre systems and re-enterable direct burial external enclosures. Networks Centre stock up to 96 core fibre cable and can supply up to 144 cores, which can be manufactured to the customer’s own specification.

In addition to underground fibre optics, Networks Centre supplies many of Britain’s public and private utility companies for their fibre-optic needs including National Grid & many Wind Farms. We stock a range of specialist outdoor copper & fibre-optic data cables including steel wire armoured, aerial, military-grade and fire-resistant.

Communication systems on public transport networks are subject to some of the harshest environments. Networks Centre can supply specialist industrial grade copper & fibre network cables, connectors and active components to meet the toughest specifications.

We have supplied to many transport hubs and London underground.

As a specialist supplier, we have been able to satisfy the demand for wireless, CCTV and other networks across a range of outdoor facilities such as stadia, caravan parks, theme parks, car parks and temporary pop up events e.g. festivals. We can supply everything required to form an outdoor network including, ruggedized network devices, wireless access points, enclosures and everything in between.

A common requirement for copper & fibre networks associated with all the above environments is termination and testing which can be particularly challenging on outside plant. Networks Centre provides a full range of splicers, test equipment and ancillary parts including all the support services you would expect from a leading dedicated data network distributor. This includes Gold support ensuring that you are never without critical equipment such as your splicer, OTDR or network certification tester, no matter what the reason. In addition, customers value our dedicated technical resource to give on-site engineers a point of contact. Our dedicated training centre and ongoing courses, certified by City & Guilds or manufacturer specific, help our customers upskill their employees.
