Joe Parker Sales Account Manager

Full Name:

Joe Parker

How long have you been at Networks Centre?

I have been with Networks Centre just over 9 months.

What made you want to join our team?

It was a completely new industry to me that seemed intriguing. I also saw that Networks Centre was expanding quickly and in the right direction and thought it was too good an opportunity to miss!

Tell us, what does a ‘normal’ day at work look like for you?

I couldn’t really tell you apart from my morning routine, I always get myself set up, grab a hot drink, filter my emails and then get working on tasks. Other than that, all of the days seem to be something new and different. I would never class it as normal!

What is your favourite/most rewarding part of the job?

My favourite part of the job is interacting and talking to customers and building new relationships. In my short time in the industry, I have already met lots of great people and built strong relationships and I’m looking forward to building more.

What 3 words best describe Networks Centre?

Collaborative, Inclusive, Energetic

How do you ensure success for customers?

I try my best to keep customers in the loop of any updates to all orders / enquiries, I also keep notes of all correspondence and active/incomplete tasks to ensure everything is completed and up to date. I hope this gives customers the peace of mind that I am actively working on their order or enquiry and it also means I am keeping myself on top of my work, reducing the chance of any issues and, fingers crossed, ensuring success!

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

In the short time I have been with Networks Centre, I feel not only my technical knowledge but also my business knowledge has grown massively. I am aware there is still a long way to go, but I am finding myself being able to solve issues, manage a customer base and provide technical knowledge a lot easier than when I joined the team the beginning of this year. I feel I have come a long way in 7 months, all thanks to the incredible team around me, but I look forward to the future with Networks Centre!

What is the one accomplishment, at work, that you are most proud of? Why?

Successfully completing the Legrand Partner Training. I was important to me as it not only helps me in my role but it also helps the team to become an Accredited Partner of Legrand solutions.

What characteristics and skills do you value in team members?

All of the team here all have the same energetic, enthusiastic and motivated characteristics. I also quite frequently find myself sitting at my desk, amazed at some of the knowledge and expertise my colleagues around me have in all areas of the business. It is something I aspire to be like myself. All of the team are quite alike in the respect that we all want the best for our customers and each other, making working at Networks Centre a truly rewarding experience.
