What was the challenge?
In the last 6 months, Networks Centre were approached by multiple global clients with expansion plans for their Swedish entities.
In all cases, the clients required precise deliveries in Stockholm city centre to avoid local traffic congestion and minimise inconvenience to other users of the building. To meet this demand, Networks Centre took the opportunity to leverage Alcadon’s local warehousing & logistics facilities.
Project materials were shipped out of the Netherlands and into the Alcadon warehouse located just 25 minutes from downtown Stockholm, with the “final mile” delivery being performed by local drivers with knowledge of routes and safe unloading spaces in the busy downtown area.
Both clients were also able to demonstrate large cost savings versus a traditional “dedicated” shipment which, while logistically precise, does not always optimise the available space in vehicle travelling long distances across the continent.
