Can you afford improper cable routing?
If you need a containment system for your fibre optic or copper cabling network infrastructure, which is versatile on location of deployment, then look no further.
Obviously, your cable routing system needs to be a collection of channels, fittings and mounting brackets, which will protect fiber optic and high performance copper data cabling from any possible physical damage, which could cause a signal outage.
However, the system also needs to be flexible and versatile. It needs to address your needs now, and adapt to future growth and changes in your infrastructure and capacity requirements.
Indeed, the pathway needs to be scalable and to be able to be installed in a variety of items and locations, in order to ensure optimum network performance ongoing.
A recent study found that companies can lose as much as 3.6% of their annual revenues to network downtime and service degradation. Improperly routed or unprotected fiber cable can be a major cause of this. For example: crushing, microbending or pinching can result in an impeded signal transmission and outage. Indeed, macrobending or bend radius violations can increase attenuation and create fatigue, possibly leading to long-term signal failure or unreliable performance.
A high quality and effective containment system does three things.
1) protects the cable from physical damage
2) maintains signal integrity
3) enables quick and simple moves, adds and changes for low cost of ownership
Identifying, testing, removing and replacing a damaged cable is an expensive practice; so it’s better to protect your cables from the outset.
